Teaching with Technology

Trail blazers, skeptics, and evangelists welcomed

In these days I'm reflecting about the different kinds of educational blogs and I would like to discuss about the usefulness of setting up blogs in a foreign language class: how can we foster students interaction in order to improve their skills?
How can we make students be in connections with colleagues through their blogs?

There are 'meta courses' that can be set up in a Moodle (moodle.org). You could have different classes communicating with each other through that. On the high tech end, you could Skype with a class overseas or videoconference. Occasional synchronous contact would keep the forum contact a little more interesting.
